Edgar J. Sullivan, CFA is Managing Director of General Motors Asset Management's (GMAM) Absolute Return Strategies (ARS) Business Unit. This recently constituted business unit is responsible for the following GMAM programs/initiatives: ARS portfolio, Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA), "Broad Scope Mandate" (BSM) managers, and strategic studies. His GM career spans more than 30 years, the last 17 of which have been with General Motors Asset Management. He was instrumental in launching GMAM's GTAA Program (in 1996) and the ARS Program (in 2001) when he held prior GMAM positions, Director of Asset Allocation and Vice President of Research. Prior to joining GMAM, he held various positions on GM's Economics and Financial Staffs. Ed’s degrees in economics and finance include a PhD from the City University of New York, an MBA from New York University, and a B.A. from Iona College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Dow Jones Hedge Fund Strategy Benchmarks Advisory Committee.
