How far away are Midway and O'Hare Airports?
Midway Airport is approximately 12 miles (~20km) from the Gleacher Center. O'Hare Airport is approximately 18 miles (~29km) from the Gleacher Center. Click below for more information on both airports, maps, and options for transportation to your hotel or the Gleacher Center.

Allow at least 1-1 ½ hours to get to either O'Hare or Midway airport during rush hour.

I'm from the Chicago area. Where is the Gleacher Center/How do I get there?

I am taking the Metra/CTA to get downtown. How far away is the train station?
The closest CTA Red Line subway station is located at Grand and State. The station located at Lake and State is also within walking distance. The CTA Blue line goes to O'Hare Airport; the closest stop is Clark and Lake. The CTA Orange line goes to Midway Airport. The closest stop is also at State and Lake.

The closest Metra stations are Union Station or Ogilvie. From the Metra stations, you can take a taxi to the Gleacher Center. If you choose to walk from Union Station, it's about a 25-30 minute walk.

Should I rent a car?
The hotels we recommend are 1-2 blocks away, within walking distance. It is not necessary to rent a car.

Which hotel do you recommend? How do I contact them?
We reserve blocks of rooms at nearby hotels for all our seminars. Each seminar's page has the hotel information.

How far away are the hotels?
Most of the hotels we recommend are within walking distance (1-2 blocks) from the Gleacher Center, where the seminar is held.

I'm from the Chicago area. Should I still stay at a hotel?
It is not necessary to stay at a hotel. Staying in a nearby hotel is an added convenience.

Do I have to use the hotel you recommend?
It's not necessary to book a room at the hotel we recommend. If you prefer to use a different hotel, feel free to do so.

When is payment due?
Payment is due prior to program commencement. We accept several payment methods: company or personal check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), or wire transfer.

When you register, you will receive a confirmation and link to an invoice via email.

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
We accept purchase orders; there is a space to put the purchase order number on the online registration form. If you wish to fax in your registration, you can fax the purchase order along with your registration form.

When is the deadline for registrations?
There is no definite deadline, but we recommend that you register at least five weeks in advance; at that time we mail out pre-reading materials, and you will have time to prepare for the class and to reserve accommodations.

The price of the seminar on the brochure I have is different from the one listed online. Which is correct?
The web page is frequently updated; the price on the web page is most current.

Something came up and I am needed in the office. I would like to postpone my attendance. What are my options?
Substitutions of registrants in a session may be made, without penalty, any time prior to the program's commencement.

To transfer to a later date, send a written request, by email (to exec.ed@ChicagoBooth.edu) or fax 312.464.8731 stating that you are unable to attend and the dates of the seminar you would like to transfer to. Transfer requests received within 30 days of the program start will be subject to a $200 transfer fee.

If you wish to cancel, send written notification to our office. Tell us the name of the participant and the course the participant is canceling from. Cancel requests received within 30 days of the program start will be subject to a 25% cancellation charge. Any late transfers followed by a cancellation will be charged 25% of the current program fee.

We have several people wanting to take a course. Is it possible to have the course held at our company?

Is there any work I have to do before the seminar starts?
For most of the seminars, there are articles to be read before the seminar starts. We will send these articles about 4-5 weeks prior to the program start date.

Do I need to bring a laptop or a calculator?
A laptop is optional. A calculator is required for some seminars. This information will be sent to you with the pre-reading material.

What is the dress code?
The dress code is business casual. This means no suits and no jeans.

I want to arrange some dinner meetings while I'm in town, are there any nights that have group work or long assignments?
For most of the seminars, group work is scheduled during the day. A few seminars have group work in the evening. The pre-read has articles for the first few nights' assignments. You can read those articles ahead of time and schedule any meetings the first few evenings.

I will need to keep up with work from the office. How much homework is there?
For most seminars, homework would be reading articles to prepare for the next day; you should anticipate 1-2 hours of reading per evening.

Do I receive any credit for attending a program?
We offer only non-degree programs. Certificates stating that the participants attended the program are given out at the end of the program.

What is the usual class size?
Most classes run with 35 to 50 participants.
